This is a question for Victor or anyone else in the know...

Victor mentioned in this thread 2 years ago in this thread that he thought the Say Yes to Education group was defunct. I'm just wondering if that group has since been resurrected? I tried reaching out to the contact given on WGA's club list (Wensi Xu, listed as president), but haven't received a response yet.

That group ties very closely to what I am interested in so I am planning to discuss in my essays either how I plan to contribute to the group if it still exists, or how I plan to get it going again, if it does not exist any more.

Thank you in advance to whomever reveals the secret. :)

    Hi, Victor,

Wensi was in the Class of 2011, so it looks like the WGA World page might be out of date. Sorry! Let me ask around and see what I find out.

    Stay tuned.

    Hi Victor,

Thank you for the repsonse. I'm just wondering if you have had any luck finding any information on this one?

    Thanks again!

    Hi, Victor,

Regrettably, I haven't been able to find any positive confirmation that the group is still in existence. Doesn't mean you couldn't revive it though!

    Hi Victor,

That is unfortunate. I will spin my essay around how I plan to revive it then, as I was originally planning.

Although speaking of which, based on the essay prompt "Select a Wharton MBA course, co-curricular opportunity or extra-curricular engagement that you are interested in. Tell us why you chose this activity and how it connects to your interests", do you think talking about a now defunct club would be considered off-topic?

Thank you so much for your help!

    Victor

I just wanted to reply to this..  It appears that the Say yes to Education portion of the Wharton clubs site has been updated to reflect new co-president's who are currenlty enrolled at Wharton (at least according to my google research).  So I am not sure you would have to revive it anymore.

Has anyone else heard any new information around this?

Say Yes to Education is still an active club on campus.  For more information on the club, please visit: http://www.wgaworld.org/clubs-subpage.html?catid=7&_category=community-service-clubs&id=79

    Hi Eva,

    1. Is the club affiliated with the "Say Yes to Education" nonprofit that started in Philadelphia?

    2. Does the club offer services other than (academic - I assume) tutoring?

    Thanks!

    Hi Eva

I had a specific query regarding the club activities. Have gone through the SYTE web page. Can you please give me an email id on which i can write to you.

I wanted to know what are the existing activities of the club apart from tutoring and counselling?

Looking forward to your kind response.

    Regards

    HM
