• Summer Waitlist after Rd 1 From: W4life  May 08, 2012 Posts 2

  Hello, So I have been added to the summer wait-list after having been waitlisted in Rd1.  My letter says that I will hear a decision no later than July 27, 2012.  I did not see any mention of periodic updates to waitlist status, such as every few weeks as I have read has been done in the past.  I was wondering if candidates are notified periodically about their waitlist status and is the July 27 date just the final date possible that I should be hearing anything.  I am willing to hold on if there is a possiblity that I hear back in late May or even late June.  If I will only hear back one time, it makes things tricky.  Thanks for the information.   Hi, W4life, I would recommend reaching out directly to the Admissions Office for further clarity.  I am not positive, but I do not believe there will be periodic, regular updates on you waitlist status. If you have a specific constraint (e.g., making an acceptance decision for another school's offer), this might be worth bringing to Admissions' attention.  In the meantime, in your decisionmaking, I would err on the side of conservatively assuming you will only hear back once, with any other potential updates as a "bonus." -Victor WG '11 Reply
