Hello Current and Future Marketers!
First, congrats on your Wharton acceptance! I hope you are getting excited about the next two years ahead. My name is Sodany Sor, Wharton Class of 2011. I’m writing to let you know of an amazing opportunity for newly admitted Wharton students to learn about marketing/brand management. From July 22nd - July 27th, 2012, Procter & Gamble (P&G) will be holding an all-expenses paid, week-long Marketing Summer Camp at its Cincinnati headquarters. As a participant myself, I found P&G’s Summer Camp to be an eye-opening experience into the world of brand management. We shadowed current brand managers, were trained on what makes an advertising campaign effective, and even heard from the former CEO and current CMO. Best of all, towards the end of camp, participants get to interview for a summer internship! The program helped me narrow down my list of career interests to CPG marketing, and land me an internship on Old Spice and full-time position at Gillette.
The Summer Camp application deadline is on June 30, 2012, but I encourage everyone to apply as soon as possible. Offers will be extended by July 9th. Simply go to www.experiencePG.com and search for job number MKT00002623. Please note that as part of the application process, you must take both a critical reasoning test and a values screener. Once you start the application, you will receive more information to help prepare you for the screeners. They don’t take long, but take your time, as applicants must pass both screeners in order to be considered for the Summer Camp and for a 2013 internship.
