Hello,
I am a reapplicant who was previously summer waitlisted after being interviewed for R2 in 2011. I resubmitted my application this year having acquired a promotion at American Express. I used the same recommenders (although they updated their recommendations) and new essays. I have maintained the same professional objective: real estate private equity. The promotion I received is in a new group at American Express, and it may appear a bit of a detour from my professional objective. The real estate industry has continued to be sluggish and I have been able to acquire some valuable corporate M&A experience in the technology industry in my new role.
I am going into this level of detail because I am still anxiously awaiting the interview request. I know the application review process is a bit complex, and was just curious if there is any detail on how the reapplication review process works. Is it a bad sign I have still not received the interview request? How much do the reviewers compare the old and new applications, and to what level of detail? I plan to revisit the school again this week. Thanks for any thoughts on this subject.
Best,
Leslie
