  • What are my chances of admission?

Every year, several applicants present excerpts of their backgrounds and profiles; they ask for an evaluation of their chances of admission.

There is a reason why AdCom requests an entire application before evaluating an applicant's candidacy. To try to make an estimate of an applicant's chances based on limited information provided through this forum would be necessarily to make an evaluation based on insufficient data and an incomplete picture. Essays and recommendations, for example, may have significant impact on the likelihood of a candidate's acceptance.

The only thing that can be said for certain is that, if a candidate does not apply, their chances of admission are a definite 0%.

Should applicants wish to evaluate how they stand relative to current Wharton students, they are encouraged to refer to http://www.wharton.upenn.edu/mba/student-life/class-profile.cfm for some reference points.

As long as a candidate meets the requirements listed in http://www.wharton.upenn.edu/mba/admissions/application-requirements.cfm, they are encouraged to apply if they feel: a) Wharton's MBA program is the right one for them; and b) they will be able to contribute notably and positively to the Wharton community.

    Good luck,
