Hello everyone, i have a question that i suspect some of you may have faced in the fast, reason why i think i could get some help : i hesitate between Wharton and Columbia!
Some facts : i'm an investment manager in a HF (long-short) and i want to stay in my industry, so i need a MBA primarly to improve my skills and my international brand (i'm Swiss). I'm 32 years old with 5 years of work experience in Investment Management.
In this respect, both Clumbia and Wharton are great schools, Wharton being the clear number one for finance and Columbia having that great Value Investing Program. Other points important to me are that CBS has an accelerated program (which is great given my age) and is located in New York (i.e. Wall Street) while Wharton has a better brand (CBS is great of course but Wharton's name is even better), offers tremendous curiculum's flexibility and such a big choice of classes!
Is there anyone who decided to go to Wharton instead of Columbia and who could share his/her reasons to choose Wharton? And as Whartonites do you think Wharton is really highly regarded than Columbia when it comes to "open doors" (notably out of the USA)?
Thank you very much
Cheers
