I recently graduated from an undegraduate institution in May and still in the process of looking for a job. I hope to apply for admissions to Wharton in 3-4 years.

The issue that I personally have is that one of my job offers requires a contractual commitment for atleast 4 years. But they did say that they would make some accomodations for me if I wanted to get a graduate degree on a part-time basis.

I wanted to know if there was an option to take the traditional two year full-time MBA program and turn it into a part-time all year (including summer) and end up having the same degree as someone who went full-time.

    Hi,

    Sorry for the late reply.

Wharton only offers the full-time MBA and the Executive MBA. There's no option to take the 2 yr full-time MBA in a part-time format.

I know this posting is somewhat dated, but I wanted to elaborate on Patricia's answer for future readers.

For almost forty years, Wharton has enabled individuals to retain their full-time job while earning the Wharton MBA degree through its MBA Program for Executives.  With the opening of the Wharton|San Francisco campus in 2001, the same valuable MBA Program for Executives has become even more accessible.

The Wharton MBA Program for Executives replicates Wharton’s highly acclaimed traditional full-time MBA program.  It offers the same courses, number of class hours, faculty and reading lists.  Students attend classes every other Friday and Saturday with a few three-day and two week-long sessions during the 24 month program.  The result is a true Wharton MBA degree.

We invite you to visit our website (www.wharton.upenn.edu/mbaexecutive) to learn more about our program.  If you would like to receive program information and details about online chats or receptions that may be offered in your area, please sign up for a MyWhartonEMBA account (http://upennemba.askadmissions.net/emtinterestpage.aspx?ip=requestform).
