Recent Highlights

Lots to report since my last post! Here are a few extracurricular highlights:

WEST COAST TECH TREK:

A group of about 30 of us trekked out to Silicon Valley and Seattle for company visits and networking. We visited 10+ companies in 5 days, which made for a busy, yet highly productive and fun trip. LinkedIn was a highlight, where we had a particularly warm welcome (CEO Jeff Weiner is a Wharton grad)!

A warm welcome at LinkedIn!

CHINESE NEW YEAR IN NEW YORK

A few weeks later, the Lauder Chinese Track trekked up to New York to celebrate Chinese New Year. After an authentic Sichuan-style dinner, at which Professor Ren gave the second years hong bao (though really they should have come to first years!), we went to the Broadway show Chinglish.

Professor Ren gave the 2nd years hongbao for Chinese New Year... what about the 1st years!!?

We were very fortunate to have the opportunity to meet up with the cast and creatives of Chinglish after the show.

Shmoozing with the cast and creatives of Chinglish...Tony Award-winning playwright David Henry Hwang thinks I'm hilarious!

PARK CITY, UTAH

An evolving Wharton tradition is the Ski and Snowboard Club trip out to Park City to crush the gnarly pow wearing lots of neon. It also involves, in true MBA tradition, a strong amount of apres-skiing, also involving lots of neon. It was a great chance to meet and spend time with classmates I hadn't met before.

Bonding with new friends...

Now, back to the books (yes, that happens here too). Stay tuned for highlights from Q4!
