A sweet way to wrap up Management 652

Lest I go an entry without writing about dessert somewhere, here is an entry entirely about dessert.

Last week we wrapped up an intensive week-long class on leadership and teamwork, the core of which was a computer simulation in which we pretended to manage an electric car company as it navigated the various challenges one might expect an electric car company to face today, ex. which R&D initiatives to pursue, how to price our different products, whether or not to enter emerging markets, etc. It was a fun exercise and prompted a lot of discussion and debate within our learning teams, which was the overaching goal (hence leadership and teamwork). More about the simulation here.

Lo and behold, halfway through our last day of class, our Learning Fellows paraded in with this:

...a cake in the shape of our most popular product! And several dozen cupcakes. Below is our professor, Professor Friedman, post cupcake:

As you can tell by the faces of those in the back, it was a fun way to wrap up the week!

Also... it's Restaurant Week in Phiadelphia... meaning that I got a delicious three course meal at Le Castagne for $35... and it ended with this:

cheesecake, tiramisu, and cannolini

Today my friend Cat hosted a dessert and champagne potluck at her apartment... Was quite amazing, and decadent to say the least. Here I am with Lindsay, anticipating some Charlotte au Chocolat c/o Stephane

This dessert has my name all over it... yep.
